Policy
Social Responsibility & Accountability
Social Responsibility Policy
In compliance with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657), large manufacturers and retailers are required to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking within their supply chains.
SSV Works expects original equipment manufacturers, vendors and suppliers of new goods we sell to retailers and online (referred to as "Suppliers") to maintain fundamental labor and human rights standards. Specifically, we include policy requirements specifying that Suppliers will not use any forced labor (prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor or otherwise). Suppliers who fail to meet our policies would be held in breach of our agreement. SSV Works requires our Suppliers to certify that all product materials comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the countries in which they are doing business. Purchasing and sourcing agents attend mandatory training on the Corporate Social Responsibility policies.
Accountability
SSV Works implemented an internal process that employees can utilize in the event of any policy violation. This includes the ability to make an anonymous complaint. Training is provided so employees can understand how to resolve disputes and address non-compliance of policies.
SSV Works Works closely with its suppliers to correct any breaches of its Social Responsibility policy. Suppliers that breach the policy will be notified and further action will be taken including but not limited to termination of their supplier status.
